We have another time-saver for you! It is the Flash Fill feature in Excel. Using this it is possible to quickly copy parts of data from one column to another. In the example shown, column A contains full names and we want to extract just the first names from the list. In column B we can type in one of the first names used in column A and then use the shortcut key Ctrl + E to quickly flash fill the rest of column B with the first names from column A.
