Embed your fonts in a PowerPoint presentation on a PC

Do the fonts in PowerPoint seem to change on different computers?

Embed your fonts in a presentation on a PC

An irritating problem many of our training delegates have raised is that the fonts in PowerPoint
seem to change when they move between computers..
The fonts aren’t actually changing, it’s just that the presentation computer doesn’t have the same font files installed.
If you’re using a PC and presenting on a PC, then we can tell you what to do (if you are using a Mac, the solution is a bit tougher, and we tell you that one in our next post!)

So, next time, when you save your PowerPoint file, on a PC:

• Choose Tools – Save Options in the Save As dialog box
• Choose Embed TrueType fonts or Embed fonts in file – depending on which
version of PowerPoint you are using, but you get the gist!
• Choose OK

Now, your presentation will keep the font file and your fonts will not change when you move computers….unless its on a Mac!
