Do I need a web site?

Any business, whether it is a global corporation or a local restaurant, can benefit from having a presence on the internet. Why don’t I build it myself?

Well, for the same reason that most people don't make their own clothes. Building a website is relatively easy. Building a good website – one that works, that is built to web standards and is forwards-compatible, that is accessible according to WAI guidelines, that looks good, that is designed to help get higher rankings in search engines like Google, that can integrate with your customer database, that can handle ecommerce and online trading… that's quite a bit harder, and requires a highly specialist skillset.
