Developed a bespoke application to check BBC scripts’ vocabularies to ensure they contained words that fell into the top 5000 words in the Oxford English Dictionary, before publishing on bbcworldwide.com. This process used to take days to manually complete and now takes minutes for each script’s vocabulary to be checked.

Microsoft Office Training and Development
Clear wanted a sophisticated Contacts Database from which they could filter and select contacts for frequent e-shots and marketing activities. Nova – I.T. used Clear’s existing in-house products to develop a customised Contacts Database in Microsoft Outlook. The database included customised forms and views so that all bespoke requirements were met. This solution has proved a popular and economic alternative to creating a database from scratch, as well as using an environment (Outlook) that users are already familiar with, therefore reducing the cost of training.
Clear also use Nova – I.T. for bespoke training, e.g. customised Microsoft PowerPoint.

Hunter Peddell Property Law was set up by two City Lawyers in 2004. They employed Nova – I.T. to install and setup a new I.T. network. We installed Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 on Dell hardware, and created customised templates ready for HPPL’s launch date in August 2004. We also devised a training programme for the Partners prior to the company launch date, so that their IT skills were up to scratch, and in doing so, they did not require a secretary for several months thereafter.

Database Development
Redeveloped an old, existing Microsoft Access database, that had migrated though many versions of Microsoft Office and had subsequently picked up a few gremlins along the way. Nova – I.T. took the existing data and totally redeveloped the front end, adding lots of new features that were not available during the original development 6 years prior. The new Microsoft Access 2003 database acts as a Contacts Database that links up with Microsoft Word in order to created automated mail merges to selected contacts in a matter of minutes.
